Senior Center History
The original building was moved from a Westside location in the late 1960s. It was first used as a school, before the Parks and Recreation Department acquired it. In September 1972, the doors were opened for business. At that time, the square footage was approximately 2,000, but with additions over the years it has grown to over 5,000 sq. feet! This was made possible due to generous contributions from:
  • $eniors Uncover Money $olutions ($UM$)
  • Bremerton Rotary
  • City funds
  • Community Development Building Grants
