Bremerton Police Serve Search Warrant, Arrest Two for Heroin Charges
The Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Bremerton Police Department conducts undercover and other comprehensive investigations in response to neighborhood crime problems. Following reports of suspected drug activity at a house on the 1700 block of 14th Street, within a few hundred yards of the high school, detectives began a lengthy investigation which culminated in a search warrant being conducted at the house on Friday, May 5th.After announcing their warrant and asking the occupants to come out, detectives and officers made a forced entry into the house, where they located an adult male and an adult female attempting to climb into the attic. Both were arrested and taken into custody.Officers located heroin, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, cash, and a .22 caliber handgun, all of which were seized. The two adults were jailed and the case will be forwarded to the Kitsap County Prosecutor’s Office for review for charges of Intent to Deliver Heroin along with School Zone penalty enhancements.No one was injured in the operation, and neighbors expressed their thanks to officers at the scene for helping to deal with an ongoing problem in the neighborhood.
