Juvenile Suspects Arrested for Attempted Robbery
Bremerton PD investigated a report of shots fired at 1:13 AM on June 10 at the area of the Masonic lodge on 5th Street. There had been a large party and gathering there. Several shell casings were recovered and no one was apparently injured. Earlier in the evening, around 10:00 PM on June 9, officers also investigated an incident where a group of three had attempted to take property from acquaintances in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant in West Bremerton, and a handgun was implied in that case. Preliminary investigation indicated that these two incidents were likely related and involved the same suspects.
After extensive follow up, detectives have arrested two juvenile males for attempted robbery and one additional juvenile male for the crime of drive-by shooting. All three have been placed at the Kitsap County Juvenile Detention Center, and will be referred for felony charges. All three are local and have had numerous contacts with law enforcement.
Probable cause statements, names, and further details are not available because the suspects are juveniles.
