By completing the following survey you can help your water system more effectively manage precious water resources. The City of Bremerton Water Utility has been active in promoting water conservation since the early 1990's. New regulations from the Department of Health now require water systems to develop water efficiency goals.

Water efficiency goals must:
  • Describe measurable outcomes in terms of reduced of maintained water production or usage.
  • Be set in a public forum that provides opportunity for consumers to participate and comment.
  • Be reviewed by City Council who shall consider all comments received.
Below are Bremerton Water Utility's proposed water conservation goals. In the space provided to the left, please place a "1" by the goal you think is most important, a "2" by the goal you think second in importance, and a "3" by the goal you think is third in importance. You are encouraged to add and rank other water conservation goals you think the City should consider.

Keep water used in a single family household to an average of less than 195 gallons per day.
Keep water used in the entire system on the maximum day less than twice what is used on an average day.
Keep the amount of water used or lost through leaks, fire fighting, system flushing, etc. to less than 8% of the total water produced each year.
