New Police Officers are High AchieversThree new Bremerton Police Officers graduated from the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Academy on 11/16/06. The academy graduation ceremony was the culmination of an intense training curriculum that began on 7/12/06. They are now assigned to the Patrol Division for further training with a Field Training Officer prior to assuming solo patrol duties. All three officers graduated with honors from the academy:
Officer Ryan M. Heffernan scored first place overall and second place in academics in the class. He also set a new academy record in the 1.5 mile run (7:21), was a member of the 150 Mile Club and 1500 Minute Cardio Club.
Officer Matthew Musslewhite scored second place overall, first in firearms proficiency and first in academics. He was also a member of the 150 Mile Club and 1500 Minute Cardio Club.
Officer Jason Jennings scored third overall and third in academics. He was also a member of the 150 Mile Club.
