Bremerton Senior Center Volunteer Recognition

Last year over 120 people volunteered nearly 5,000 hours at the Bremerton Senior Center. The Senior Center volunteers were honored on April 28th with a recognition brunch. The theme for the event was, "Volunteers Are Our Treasure". Staff dressed as pirates and served Treasure Trove Strata, Tator Doubloons, Fruit Skewers and Tropical Isle Punch. Volunteers were issued eye patches, pirate bandanas and swords. Entertainers, also dressed as pirates, regaled the audience with pirate songs. George Burns and Gracie Allen (Alan Travers and Anna Dinolfo) made a guest appearance and performed a short dialog on "Discovering Volunteering".
