Leslie Daugs - District No. 2

Leslie Daugs represents Bremerton City Council District 2 which includes the businesses and residential areas along the Wheaton Way corridor bounded at the north by Riddell Road.

Leslie was recently re-elected to her third term through 2019.

In 2017, she is serving on the Public Safety & Parks Committee and the Finance & Investment Committee. Leslie is the City’s Alternate on the West Central Local Integrating Organization (LIO) Executive Committee and Puget Sound Regional Council (PSRC) Growth Management Policy Board. She is also a member of the Kitsap Community Resources Board of Directors.

Leslie also looks forward to planned improvements to Lebo Boulevard. This project is currently accepting public feedback through a series of public meetings.

Leslie grew up here and raised all of her children here with her husband Daryl. For her entire adult life, she has been focused on Bremerton’s families and kids, including as a foster parent in the community. She works as a campus security officer for Mountain View Middle School where she is responsible for the safety and well-being of over 900 kids every day. She plays several games of soccer every week on Parks Department fields. She states she has the energy and drive to represent the neighborhoods and families of East Bremerton.

Leslie states that Downtown Bremerton has been the focus of most of the revitalization so she plans to continue being an advocate for East Bremerton and the Wheaton Way corridor that, in particular, needs rehabilitation and a voice on the City Council because to flourish, “the community needs a thriving East Bremerton with a pedestrian-friendly business district, restaurants, and safe local parks”. She is concerned about the neighborhoods, the families, and the kids of District 2, and is happy to have the opportunity to serve the families of Bremerton.
