City of Bremerton Collaborative School Siting Project


The City of Bremerton along with the Bremerton School District passed resolutions adopting the Bremerton School Siting Project in June 2009.

The City of Bremerton and the Bremerton School District have been awarded a grant from Washington State Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development in the amount of $125,000 to plan and research a collocation site which includes a new West Bremerton Middle School. The City and the School District have selected NAC Architecture to oversee the process and plan development for the research study.

To date there have been two public meetings held for this project. The first was held on July 31st, 2008 at the Westpark Community Center. The documents from this meeting are listed below.

The third public meeting was held on September 22nd, 2008 at the Norm Dicks Government Center. The group reviewed and processed the prioritized uses, diagramming the quantity of space that would be required for multiple uses. The documents from this meeting are listed below:
