The Bremerton Police Department accepts applications for the listed categories for the position of Police Officer on a continuous basis.Police Officer - Entry Level - Minimum requirements:
- Must possess a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Must meet required physical and medical standards and all civil service requirements.
- A valid Washington State drive's license is required. No major traffic convictions in the past three years. No more than two at-fault accidents or minor convictions (or any combination of the two) in the past three years.
- Applicant must be 21 years of age by appointment date.
- Incumbent must successfully complete the Washington State Law Enforcement Training Commission Academy within one (1) year of hire.
- Must possess a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Must possess a current Washington Law Enforcement Training Certification.
- Must meet required physical and medical standards and all civil service requirements.
- A valid Washington State driver's license is required. No major traffic convictions in the past three years. No more than two at-fault accidents or minor convictions (or any combination of the two) in the past three years.
- Applicant must be 21 years of age by appointment date.
- Must have two (2) years paid law enforcement experience (non-military).
- Must possess a current Washington Law Enforcement Training Certification.
- Must meet required physical and medical standards and all civil service requirements.
- A valid Washington State driver's license is required prior to appointment. No major traffic convictions in the past three years. No more than two at-fault accidents or minor convictions (or any combination of the two) in the past three years.
- Applicant must be 21 years of age by appointment date.

HOW TO APPLY
Applicants must apply through National Testing Network (NTN). NTN will administer the Video-Based Human Relations Test, FrontLine Reading Test, FrontLine Incident Observation and Report Writing Test, Physical Abilities Test (PAT). Applicants passing the NTN examinations will be sent a city application. To be considered for the Oral Examination applicants must submit a City application and resume. The top qualifying applicants will be invited to participate in the Oral Examination.
