Chief's Letter
Thank you for visiting the Bremerton Police Department's Web Page. The entire City of Bremerton is in the midst of an exciting and robust era of rejuvenation. This is evidenced by the major construction ongoing in the city's central core in addition to other projects throughout the city. Your Police Department is keeping pace with modernization in the form of a new headquarters building at 1025 Burwell Street. The information provided here addresses a variety of programs and services offered by your Police Department. As we move ahead in the coming years many exciting technological advances await us in the field of law enforcement. I believe, however, that the most important ingredient in a successful recipe for a true partnership with our community is personal contact and communication.
The Bremerton Police Department's mission is not only to preserve the public peace and prevent crime but also to become an integral part of the very community we are sworn to protect and serve. You are our customer and we strive to provide the most effective service possible in a professional and courteous manner.
We have an outstanding group of people who have dedicated themselves to improving the quality of life in our community by adopting the philosophy of community oriented policing. We cannot successfully fight crime without your help. We all must be vigilant to insure that the lines of communication are kept open between the community and the Police Department. For without such a "partnership", the safety and welfare of our neighborhoods shall continually be at risk.
