Faye Flemister represents Bremerton City Council District 6 which includes the neighborhoods north of 11th Street also called Anderson Cove.
Faye was elected to her first term through 2013. She currently serves on the Public Works Committee. Faye also serves on the Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council (KRCC) Executive Board and to the KRCC Low Income Housing Grant Program/Transition Policy Team as well as the KRCC Housing Advisory Team and Housing Funders Leadership Group.
Faye is a business owner in the City of Bremerton, and a Member of the Chamber of Commerce. She has served on the City of Bremerton Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Citizen Advisory board since 2004, and was a recipient of the YWCA "Women of Excellence Achievement" Award in 2010. She has lived in Bremerton for over 30 years, and all of her children have attended school in the Bremerton School district. For many years she worked behind the scenes on projects for youth achievement, education and small business mentorship and advocates that that "Many Hands Make Light Work."
Since the 1980's, Faye believes that there have been many changes and much progress in Bremerton. Unfortunately District 6 has not seen much change. She believes in building bridges with good financial stewardship, community pride, and services accessible to all residents. She is proud of Bremerton and loves the City and her neighborhood, but knows there is still work to do. She is committed to the citizens of Bremerton and District 6 in particular and intends to build relationships and partnerships that will insure that the community will have a voice that is heard.
