Bremerton Bark Park

On November 5, 2005 the "People With Dogs Park" was unleashed and officially named Bremerton's Bark Park. Ross Ginther, from PETCO, had the honor of "unleashing the park" and letting the pooches in. Bremerton Bark Park is located at Pendergast Park (1199 Union Avenue, Bremerton WA 98312). Before you and your dog visit, please take a moment to read over the Park Rules & Regulations.

Driving Directions
From Hwy 16 or Hwy 3, heading towards Bremerton, take Loxie Eagans Blvd exit off Hwy 3 and head west onto Werner Road. Go 500 feet and turn left on Union Street. Entrance will be 1/2 mile on right.

Background
The City of Bremerton Parks & Recreation Department in partnership with a group of interested folks are planning to establish an off-leash dog park in a City park. The long range goal is to establish a permanent dog park site (currently Stephenson Canyon Park). The short term goal is to get a temporary site up and running by summer (currently Pendergast Regional Park because it has a large undeveloped space as well as established parking, restrooms and water).

The City of Bremerton Parks and Recreation Department has committed to funding 50% of the installation costs - the volunteer group is now making plans to raise funds to match. Total estimated cost for the temporary site is $3,000.

Please check back here for upcoming meeting dates and updates. Use the left hand navigation to locate information on design elements, fundraising/dontation, rules/regulations and how you can get involved.
