Wheaton-Riddell Sub Area Plan
Creating Wheaton-Riddell District CenterTotaling approximately 106 acres the Wheaton-Riddell District Center will serve as a town center for a number of neighborhoods in East Bremerton as well as for residents of unincorporated areas farther to the north. Potential features of the Wheaton-Riddell District Center include a range of housing types, business opportunities and entertainment.
The Wheaton-Riddell location was identified as a District Center during the 2004 Comprehensive Plan update. The Sub Area Plan includes a detailed plan and unique development standards for the District Center that were created through public discussions and workshops.
Wheaton-Riddell Sub Area Plan Adopted
The Bremerton City Council adopted the Wheaton-Riddell Sub Area Plan per Ordinance 5025 on October 8th, 2007. Download the Sub Area Plan below:
Multi-Family Tax Exemption
New Multi-Family housing developments within the Wheaton-Riddell Sub Area are eligible for the City's Multi-Family Tax Exemption. The tax exemption seeks to encourage investment in multi family housing within target areas. See Bremerton Municipal Code Chapter 3.78 for information on the Multi-Family Tax Exemption program.
