Wi-Fi Service
On Wednesday, March 14, 2007 the Mayor and guests performed the official "wire cutting" to roll out the new, free wi-fi service provided by the City of Bremerton. This service will offer no-cost outdoor wi-fi connectivity to citizens and visitors in the Harborside District. Coverage will be available in the area bordered by 6th Street, Pacific Avenue, the Shipyard and the Marina. This includes the Boardwalk, the new Harborside Fountain Park (opening May 5th) and Harborside Plaza. Please see map below.
Users will receive 300 minutes of free service per month. Take your wireless enabled laptop into the coverage area. Let it find the available wireless signals and select the Bremerton Harborside signal. Once connected, select free service and check the box to agree to the terms and conditions of use set by Wave Broadband. Note: A premium service is available directly from Wave Broadband by selecting the daily or monthly charged service. The free service will offer up to six times the bandwidth of conventional dial-up connectivity.
